International Value Education Olympiad -2023

As per KVS Circular No. 11029/2023 24/KVS(HQ)/Acad/Miscellaneous dated 24.08.2023, class and co-class teachers of class V to XII are informed  for voluntary participation of students  in the International Values Education Olympiad-2023.

We would like to bring your attention to the International Value Education Olympiad, rooted in a UN study that highlights the pivotal role of values in fostering environmental awareness among individuals. Our course material delves into these values, drawing from sources like the Bhagavad Gita and other texts.

Upon registering and participating in the examination, each student will receive a Certificate bearing the credentials of esteemed organizations such as UNEP Faith for Earth and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change - Mission Life. Here is the timeline for the program:

·         Registrations commence: 17th July (Monday)

·         Registrations conclude: 30th September (Saturday)

·         Mock exam: 8th October (Sunday)

·         Final exam: 12th October (Thursday) - 15th October (Sunday)

·         Felicitation ceremony and result declaration (Tentative): 5th November (Sunday)

Fee Charges- NIL

This international competition will honor three winners in each of the following categories:

·          Group A: Class V-VI

·         Group B: Class VII-VIII

·          Group C: Class IX-X

·         Group D: Class XI-XII

The registration process follows these steps:

Step 1: Schools encourage a minimum of 200 students (50 from each group) to register for free on our website: https://www.veolympiad.com

Step 2: Students prepare for the exam by accessing the study material from the following link: https://www.veolympiad.com/studymaterial

Step 3: Students submit their practical assignments by logging on to the  https://www.veolympiad.org website.

Step 4: Students take the online exam.

 Step 5: Students receive their special certificate from the exam portal.

Step 6: Victors are rewarded with exciting prizes.

The Practical Assignment requires students to focus on integrating lifestyle changes that positively impact the environment. Students can choose to:

·         Ideate (conceptualize an idea)

·         Ideate and Create (develop an idea with a demonstrative model)

·         Ideate, Create, and Implement (execute the model as a practical solution in a real-world scenario)

Each student must submit their assignment, along with its impact and relevant photographs, by the deadline of 15th October 2023.

Uploading the assignment is mandatory to be eligible for prizes. Assignments can be uploaded to your profile by logging in.

Please note that Olympiad exam marks hold a weight age of 60%, while practical activities contribute 40% to the final assessment, determining the winners of this competition.
